The Blackheath Christmas tree company came into being after family outing to Outer Hebrides, and a visit to a Christmas tree farm and the idea for the Blackheath Christmas tree company was born. Combining their love for both Blackheath and Christmas, it seemed the perfect way to cater to the needs of the local community offering premium Nordmann Fir Christmas trees.
We are delighted to have been able to donate a Christmas tree to the Village, thanks to the Blackheath Society, and we hope it will help to bring some festive cheer to the community in these most unusual time’s.
Blackheath Christmas Tree Company is very conscious of the environment and we ensure all our tree farms are run in a sustainably managed approach adhering to the FSC certified system. Since Prince Albert introduced German Christmas traditions to the British Isles in the 19th century many of us buy and decorate our trees. In the 20th century artificial trees began to emerge, which are far from environmentally friendly and recently more and more people are returning to the real thing, so it is even more important we do our part as one is cut another is planted.
We also like to ensure our trees are looked after, so we have put together a few pointers in tree care.
Keep your tree outside in water for as long as possible before you decorate. This we help reduce needles dropping off.
- Stand your tree in the corner of the room if you can and water it regularly
- keep your tree away from heat and flames
- also ware gloves when handling trees
Our Delivery service aims to deliver your tree with the allotted time slot, if this unfortunately doesn’t happen we will ensure your tree is delivered on the day arranged. Our contactless delivery service is designed for everyone to have a safe and merry Christmas in these testing times.
